Features
- The Hidden Internal Piston (H.I.P.) (PATENT PENDING) stem offers a more efficient mechanism to secure the handlebar to the fork tube. It uses the force of four front bolts to clamp the bars to the stem while simultaneously clamping the stem body to the fork tube with the use of a concave-ended piston running through the center of the stem body. This eliminates the need for clamping bolts on the fork tube end. The result is not just a cleaner looking component, but a weight savings and greater knee clearance as well. Profile Racing's H.I.P. stem is available in polished and black, and in blue, red, gold, antifreeze (green), grape (purple), tangerine (orange), pink, and aqua (turquoise) finish for a $6.00 upcharge.
